And it's not like I didn't know a reasonable amount about psychology. After getting a psychology degree and counselling training, I worked in psychiatric support before moving into exploring motivation as a qualitative researcher within marketing.
I spent over 25 years of uncovering people's underlying driving motivations in literally thousands of hours in depth interviews and group discussions. My expertise was as a motivational expert, uncovering the psychological triggers to drive consumption.
What Finally Shifted Everything
It wasn’t another strategy.
It wasn’t more reading or research.
It was coaching—specifically, a method that helped me reconnect with my essential self and listen to what I already knew deep down.
When I learned how to work with my thoughts and emotions (instead of fighting them), something changed.
When I learned to tune into my body as a compass for truth, things started flowing.
When I aligned my actions with what truly mattered to me, I stopped burning out—and started building momentum.
That’s when everything shifted.
